Installation
Install the plug-in using the following step-by-step process:
- Download the zip package of Tapatalk Plugin for vBulletin to your computer.
- Unzip the package. You should see a folder named 'mobiquo'.
- Upload the entire 'mobiquo' folder and only this folder to your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, your mobiquo folder should be at the address http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.
- Login to Administration Control Panel, go to 'Plugin & Products' -> 'Manage Products'.
- Click 'Add/Import Products' on the page bottom.
- Choose 'Import the XML file from your server', enter './mobiquo/product-tapatalk.xml', click the "Import" button.
Push Notification support in vBulletin 3.7, 3.8 and 4.x
To verify Push Notification works with your forum. Visit {Your forum root url path}/mobiquo/push.php using a Web Browser. You should receive a message 'Tapatalk push notification test: Success'. If you do not receive this message, Tapatalk can still work but without push notification feature. Get help here.
Installation for vBulletin 3.6 (Legacy)
- Place the zip package at the root of your forum system.
- Unzip the package. You should see a directory called "mobiquo" inside your forum system root directory. For example, if your forum URL is http://www.mysite.com/forum, your mobiquo folder should be at the address http://www.mysite.com/forum/mobiquo/.
- Login to Administration Control Panel
- Choose "Style Manager" under "Styles and Templates"
- For each templates you have installed (Both Desktop and Mobile Skin):
- Click "Edit" in your current template
- Choose "headinclude" in the list, click "Edit"
- At the beginning of the editor, insert the following line:
<script type="text/javascript" src="mobiquo/tapatalkdetect.js"></script> - Click "Save".
- If you have more than one template installed (especially the mobile template), redo the Edit template steps above for each template.
Upgrading from Pre 1.0.0 Tapatalk Plugin for vBulletin 5
If you were using a version of the vBulletin 5 Tapatalk Plugin that came before Version 1.0.0, you should uninstall the Tapatalk Product from the vBulletin 5 AdminCP and also delete the 'mobiquo' folder. You may then continue with the steps listed above.
First Time Installation for vBulletin 5
- 1. Upload the 'mobiquo' folder to the root of your vBulletin 5 installation. Ensure the folder can be accessed from your browser or else the mod may fail to work as designed;
- 2. Upload the 'core' folder to the root of your vBulletin 5 installation. This is required for push notifications.
- 3. In the vBulletin 5 AdminCP, go to Projects & Hooks -> Manage Products. Towards the bottom, click the [Add/Import Product] option;
- 4. You can import the file from your server using the 'import the XML file from your server' option. Input this './mobiquo/product-tapatalk.xml', then click the Import button;
- 5. The plugin has been installed and now you can configure it. The settings are located at AdminCP -> Settings -> Options -> Tapatalk - General Settings;
- 6. If it is the first time you install our plugin for your site,please register your site in tapatalk forum owner area:http://tapatalk.com/forum_owner.php.
